Residents witnessed giant hailstones as large as 7 centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by significant hail.

Rescue organizations received over five hundred emergency reports across the area, primarily for building damage but also for fallen timber and inundation.

Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along significant areas of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

The following day was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent storm activity expected across multiple regions of both areas.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the current weather patterns.
